Marriage is more than just tying a nuptial knot and more just coming together of families and hearts. It is a two soul becoming one,alright yet practically looking at it you see more duties & responsibilities. From a boy it makes you a man and from a girl you become a wife. It is one reason why many wish to runaway from taking these responsibilities at an early age, especially those attacked by the virus of stardom. Many celebs have avoided getting married at an early age just so that their stardom doesn't fall apart. However, there are always exceptions to the rules. Here are a few of them :
Amitabh Bachchan & Jaya Bhaduri
This famous jodi of Bollywood when tied a knot Jaya's career was in full swing and Mr. Bachchan was yet to make a mark in the film industry. Post marriage Jaya retained her career but later gave up for the sake of her family life. However, marriage seemed to suit Big B and his journey of that of a superstar began. Later the storms of extra-martial affairs though tried shake the family life of these two yet they survived to nurture their grand children,Aardhya being the latest to enter the Bachchan clan.
Shammi Kapoor & Geeta Bali
Bollywood's very own Junglee boy when met the doe eyed beauty Geeta Bali on the sets of a film it was love at first sight for them. Shammi ji was on the pedestal of his career when he decided to marry Geeta Bali. Though the marriage suited them well and Shammi ji was showered upon with success and stardom yet few years down the line Geeta bid adieu to her love owing to the disease of small pox.
Aamir Khan & Reena Dutta
Mr. Perfectionist of Bollywood too got married at an early age of his career and reached a pinnacle of glory where he is now crowned as a superstar who knows nothing but to perfect what he is engaged in. Reena Dutta, Aamir's first wife was though closely involved in his career plans yet falling out of love and divorcing became inevitable. Aamir in spite of this split retained his sheen image and still does post his second marriage to Kiran Rao.
Shah Rukh Khan & Gauri Chhiber
Off late their relationship was dwindling with rumors of a love affair between SRK & Piggy Chops. However, the couple seems to have weathered the storms and emerged once again as the most sought after or rather looked upto couple in Bollywood.SRK's debut came out in 1992 which was Deewana and the actor before could make the world his deewana had married the charming Punjabi beauty Gauri Chhiber. Their early married life involved lots of struggles where SRK was trying to make his mark in Bollywood,so recalls his wife Gauri. Not just the duo survived the struggles but came out a success!
Saif Ali Khan & Amrita Singh
Amrita was a beauty back then, which is why the Chote Nawab when saw her in a party instantly fell for her. Saif had not even made his debut in the film industry when he got married to Amrita in October of 1991. Later years though this Nawab had to face struggles yet his stars changed post Dil Chahta hai but his marriage to Amrita did not last much long. After 13 years of marriage the couple split in 2004.
Arbaaz Khan & Malaika Arora
Off late though there were quakes in their 16 year old marriage yet the couple came out of it cool and dignified as ever. When Arbaaz had not even entered the mainstream Bollywood and Malaika was busy with her VJing and modelling the couple met on the sets of an ad shoot and fell in love. What followed was a marriage, years later a beautiful son Arhaan and off took the flight of Mrs. Khan who reached her stardom post her marriage top Arbaaz and now is the leading item girl in Bollywood industry.
Hrithik Roshan & Suzanne Khan
When this greek god look alike, man of muscles emerged in Bollywood he instantly created a great fan following amongst the females for his looks while he charmed the men with his dancing skills and body built. There was a lot of buzz created for his marriage with post cards being invited soon after Kaho na Pyar hai became a hit. However, this PR stunt got him a position of a superstar in Bollywood and in the end the girls who had sent him the post cards were heart broken as the actor while basking in the success of his debut film's success got married to Suzanne Khan,daughter of actor Sanjay Khan.
Imran Khan & Avantika
Even before stepping in the mainstream Bollywood Imran Khan, the chocolate boy had been dating Vandana Malik's daughter Avantika. Imran soon after his debut movie married Avantika and ever since has kept no secrets about his marriage. Though a married man yet this chocolate boy still retains being the heart throb of many.
